Bring it together
A global tech company wanted to improve how they recognize their employees and create a consistent recognition strategy across the whole company. They started by looking at a study comparing different industries and doing an internal review. The feedback showed problems with their current recognition programs, especially with the value of the awards and the inconsistency in the types of awards and how they were given.
They needed help to create a unified recognition program for the entire company. This meant combining all existing programs with one partner to save money, ensure consistency, and reduce costs. The goal was to boost employee engagement and create a culture of appreciation.
Inspire the whole world and appreciate someone
This was a huge task. We had to come up with a solution to inspire over 380,000 employees, including 32,000 managers, in more than 100 countries. They took on the challenge to make the company one of the best in the world for employee engagement, retention, and happiness. The solution was a unified global recognition experience delivered through a user-friendly platform, allowing leaders, managers, and employees to give and receive recognition easily.
We worked closely with the company to design, implement, and manage a unified recognition program across the entire organization, combining the following elements:
- Employee to employee
- Employee to employee with points
- Manager discretionary
- Patent and technical awards
- Results-based recognition
- Retiree recognition
- Service milestone recognition
Employees can easily use the site on any device to give and receive recognition. And points can be used for hundreds of thousands of merchandise items and experiences through our Rewards Marketplace. The options are tailored to each geographic region, providing meaningful and representative awards.
The bottom line
The client offers a comprehensive global solution designed to inspire employees, empower first-line managers, and boost engagement scores. The system is utilized for recognition, ad hoc promotions, service milestones, and patent awards. These efficiencies and program redesign have resulted in annual savings of over $46 million.
