Attracting new members
A global software company runs a worldwide community for members to level up their product knowledge, find helpful groups, get inspired and more. With over four million members, they knew there were more opportunities to attract new members, engage current audiences and build a pipeline of community leaders. To add more fun, transparency and ways to measure audience participation, the company looked to our Bunchball gamification solution to spur community excitement.
A personalized gamification experience for the win
The community managers knew that a one-size-fits-all gamification program was not going to do the trick with such an active audience. The company also saw an opportunity to make their community more personalized, help members onboard faster and get the most out of their community experience. The teams created a world-class gamification experience that is audience-specific, leads members to contribute more questions and answers and offers the opportunity to recognize one another to build community.
The company set clear goals of onboarding members faster, retaining new members and building a pipeline of community leaders. We created a four-pronged solution to drive the goals via missions. These included gamifying the community site, personalizing the journey, giving peer-to-peer recognition and offering segmented rewards. Quarterly leaderboards spurred engagement and focus with a fresh start every quarter to earn a Leader-of-the-Pack badge.
